Sun Lakes, WA – 2025

After the FarmJam concert, we drove from Colville to Sun Lakes where we stayed from Monday, September 1st through Thursday September 4th.

It was super hot, over 100º every day, but we pretty much had the place to ourselves now that the kids had gone back to school.

The lady at the office said one million people come through there every summer!

While we were there:

  • We played Cribbage and a card game called Golf
  • Ed and I played nine holes of real golf
  • We ate some delicious meals courtesy of Betty and Karen
  • We floated in the lake on our various devices
  • Enjoyed the smokey sunsets
  • Ate ice cream from the on-site cafe

There were some pesky flies and other insects, but no mosquitos.

We congratulated ourselves for choosing Sun Lakes at this time of year when the weather's still good and it's not crowded.  Thankfully, the fire smoke stayed high in the atmosphere and didn't effect us except to provide for some wonderful sunsets.
