David & Cathy’s – Port Orchard, WA
After Belfair State Park, we spent two nights at David and Cathy's.
They graciously let us park our trailer at their place. We passed the time by playing the card game golf, throwing the ball for their black lab Barron, fishing, having lunch at the golf course with Chris, and generally hanging out and enjoying each other's company.
I was able to fish without a license as it's a private lake and I was David's guest. I caught three rainbow trout, one of them was very large, enough for the four of us to share along with eggs for our breakfast the next morning.
While we were there, we went for a walk and found a cabin for $360K that went on the market that day. It had 2 BR's, 1 BA, RV parking, 80+ feet of waterfront and was very cute. We thought about making an offer and even took some measurements. But the truth was, we just weren't prepared to make a quick decision.
We found out the next morning the decision was made for us as the cabin was listed as pending.
Thank you David and Cathy for the hospitality, looking forward to the next one!
