Route 66 To Go – Elk City, OK

Route 66 ToGo, was the first  place we stayed at after leaving Melissa and Marks.  It was a Harvest Host location.

It was 100° there when we arrived. So we set up the generator to stay cool with air conditioning.  When the sun went down it quickly cooled down to a comfortable temperature.

After a long drive, some 450 miles, we had a great dinner on Fish Friday and sat outside to watch the sun go down.

We went back before closing time for some delicious custard ice cream.

It was a beautiful sunset and safe place to spend the night on the road.
