Standin’ on the Corner – Winslow, AZ
We stopped in Winslow Arizona so we could say we were "standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, like in the song by the Eagles, “Take it Easy”.
I bought a couple of sew-on patches to commemorate the event and Karen found some Route 66 salt and pepper shakers and a cute little MP3 player that looked like a miniature old-fashioned radio.
We also ate ice cream on that same corner, and it was very, very, good on a hot day. Karen says the sea salt espresso chocolate chip ice cream was one of the best she’s ever had.
It was an iconic place to stop and visit.
