Belfair State Park – WA

We met Ed & Betty at Belfair State Park for two days of camping, April 23 & 24.  They were on their way back from Razor clamming at the ocean and we were happy to be back out in the great outdoors.

It was our first time there and we loved it.  Right on the water, it was a beautiful place to stay and explore. Our campsite was last minute, and consequently it didn't have hookups, and we were situated in two of three tight camp spots, with the middle one between us open.

The first night we treated ourselves to ice cream at a nearby Dairy Queen. Delish!

On Friday, that middle spot was taken by some tent campers and their two small cars.  Thankfully, they were nice people and they didn't have a large RV, which would have been very difficult.

We played card games with Ed and Betty that included cribbage and golf.  We also played Rummi-cube, which is always fun.

We also enjoyed a walk along the beach path that curved into the woods.

The weather was great, 65º to 70º and no rain, perfect for camping!
