Belfair State Park, WA II

It was our second stay at Belfair State Park Campground, this time joined by Raymond and Beth.  We had campsite 135, they had 133.

We arrived at 1pm.  With the check-in time being 2:30pm, they gave us a free parking pass and had us park in the day lot until 1:50pm.  Then we went in, found our site and quickly got set up so we could go to a local bar and watch the second half of the Seahawk game.

David and Cathy joined us for a delicious salmon dinner one night and David came by another time on his own.  He only lives 15 minutes away.

The weather was fantastic, warm days in the mid-60's, cool nights in the 40's.  It felt like fall, but sunny and beautiful, only a sprinkle of rain one night.

During our stay we:

  • Played games, Cribbage and Swipe and re-learned how to play Backgammon (it had probably been 30+ years)
  • Helped David move his un-built shed at his Bear Lake home
  • Took long walks through the tall trees, between the two streams and along the beach
  • Enjoyed nature
  • Listened to music
  • Shared life stories cozied up to our propane fire pit
  • Prayed together
