Historic Elk Mountain Hotel – WY

We stayed one night at the historic Elk Mountain Hotel, in Elk Mountain, WY, elevation 7800 ft, although it didn’t seem like it as the drive was flat and windy.

This Harvest Host location was built in 1905 and had a lot of old world charm. There were two young deer in the front yard when we arrived.

We had a delicious meal at their restaurant. I had a BBQ Bison burger with all the fixings. Karen had a tasty Sicilian pasta dish and a Moscow Mule.

The RV parking lot was a short walk away, and made for a peaceful nights rest after a long, very windy drive.
